Welcome Message from Hally

Welcome to the Playful Fitness Approach Mindset Academy. I’m excited to support you over the next several months as you learn how to change your approach and mindset around exercise, food, your body, your worth and your habits. In order to be effective with this program I invite you to commit to completing the videos at the suggested pace and to doing the work between sessions. Journal and take notes and to practice the daily practices and exercises that will allow you to begin building the new you. If you’re willing to invest just a little bit of time each day over the next few months, this program will yield massive results for you and actually help you create the life long, lasting changes in your body, your confidence and your joy that you want so much!

You will be able to engage with this content both visually (with videos) and audibly (with MP3 downloads). Choose the method that works best for you, your life style and your learning style. If you’re a visual learner, watch the videos. If you’re an auditory learner, listen to the recordings. You can watch videos during meals, at night, in the morning or listen to the audio while you make dinner, drive around… you do you! :) Make this work for your!

I suggest you get or use a dedicated journal for this work. Your Playful Fitness Journal is something you’ll want to use not only for the next several months but as a resource on an ongoing basis to document the discoveries that you make of your inner world as well as the shifts you experience in your outer one. This will be your sacred container of your thoughts, ideas, inspiration and new decisions.

I recommend you download and print out each video’s corresponding PDF so you can use it while going through the modules.

Finally, I invite you to make the commitment to yourself and those you love to do this work and to stay committed throughout the next months and to keep reminding yourself why this work is important to you and what this work will mean for vision & hopes you have for your life. This process will take work but it is SUCH fun work! Enjoy the process!

Part 1—Move For Joy Foundation & Program Basics

[Watch Immediately] Moving For Joy is one Playful Fitness’ most foundational principles. This module will help you understand what we mean by Moving for Joy and why that language is so crucially important in Joyfully Fit Approach.

Part 2—Strategies to Make Exercise Joyful

[Week 2] Now that you you have a good foundation of what Moving for Joy means AND a week (or more) worth of experience noticing how your body feels before & after you move for joy, it’s time to build strategies that make that joy replicable. In this module you will learn Hally’s TOP 7 strategies to make exercise joyful every single day!

Part 3—The 80:20 Rule

[Week 3] Now that you you have a good foundation of what Moving for Joy means AND you’ve tried out some JOY strategies to help you make Moving for Joy a consistant practice in your life, we are going to talk about the 80-20 rule and how to live in FREEDOM with out shame, guilt, fear or feeling like you’ve failed if you miss a workout.

Part 4—Stay on Track With Mini Wins

[Week 4] You have been Moving For Joy now for ALMOST a month. This is when negative thoughts can start to set in and tell you you aren’t making the progress that you “should be” or “expect to be making.” This module will help you see the progress that you are making & help you stay on track by developing a mental cycle of success that will help you stay on track for years to come instead of the mental cycle of failure that will derail you.

 

The Shred10

The Shred10 & The Importance of Detoxing NOT Dieting

[Watch Any Time] As we enter the Find Your Fuel part of your program, it’s important we establish that what we will be doing is NOT a diet! The Find Your Fuel mindset videos will help you learn to listen to your body when it comes to food which will you learn how to fuel well and feel well more often.

That said, often (especially if we are trying to lose weight) our bodies need more support than just a change in what we eat. Our bodies need to detox so that they are safe to actually drop fat! What we put into our bodies is a HUGE component of weight loss, weight maintenance and muscle gain. What most people don’t know is that diets actually make it harder to lose weight and keep weight off than if you didn’t diet in the first place.

Kick off the Find Your Fuel segment with some info on why diets don’t work and an option we can use together instead. There is no pressure to do a Shred, however the clients who Shred have the best and longest lasting results by far.

Pillar 2-Find Your Fuel

Part 1-Get Informed & Start Noticing

[Week 5]: To start the process of moving towards total food freedom, we first have to destroy the lie that diets are the best/only way to lose or maintain weight. Then, we have to start noticing how what we put in our bodies effects us. Once we have that baseline belief that diets aren’t the answer AND we have some data, we can start building a lifestyle of food freedom that brings you joy, is unrestrictive AND helps you get to and stay at the weight that you feel most confident at.

Part 2-Honor Your Hunger. Eat Often. Make Simple Swaps.

[Week 6]: You’ve just spent 7-10 days tracking your food, noticing how you feel throughout the day and taking the first steps towards breaking the diet mindset. NOW we are going to use that tracker to make small lifestyle changes that will have BIG effects on your body, your confidence and your energy. In this module, learn how to analyze your tracker to help you make healthy, nourishing, non-diet decisions about food. Spend 1-3 weeks in this module. Use the same tracking PDF as last module and annotate the heck out of it. Cross stuff out, write all over it!

Part 2b-REFLECTION: Honor Your Hunger. Eat Often. Make Simple Swaps.

[Week 7]: You just spent a full week going back over your food tracker and noticing where you could eat more or less (by honoring your hunger), figuring out where you could eat a smaller meal more often and noticing places you could make easy swaps. This week you are going to do the SAME thing--track your food & annotate your log. Before you start your second week though, take few minutes to pause & reflect.

Part 3-Gratitude. Savor. Enjoy.

[Week 8]: Now that you are well on your way to making healthy swaps and you are aware of how food affects your body, we are going to tackle your mindset. The way you THINK about food determines how your body processes food! Learn how to use gratitude, savoring and enjoyment to consume the RIGHT number of calories for your body and to help your body process food well.

Part 4-Food Freedom

[Week 9]: This module will help you determine where you are at with food, nutrition and help you figure out your next steps. You might be ready for the next Pillar or we might need to spend some more time unpacking some deeper parts of your relationship with food. Our goal is FOOD FREEDOM which you will define in this module! Make sure to download the PDF for this one! Or use your journal!

 

Pillar 3- Confidence, Worth & Value

Part 1-Why Internal Work Matters as much as diet & exercise

[Week 10]: This module will help you understand the value of doing internal work on self confidence and start to stir the soil of your heart to bring to the surface things that you delight in as well as things that you struggle in. Think of this module as the work you do in a garden before you even plant a single seed. Just getting things ready to grow.

 

As you work through your modules, more mindset videos will be unlocked and loaded to this page. Check back when your coach emails you that it’s time to move on to the next session.
